The Arts School Rózsavölgyi Márk of Balassagyarmat organises the

4^th  International Flute-duo and

Small Ensemble Competition

Date of the competition: 7-9^th May 2004.

prof. Nils-Thilo Krämer, artist of flute-playing (Graz-Austria), co-president of the jury

prof. Gyula Csetényi, artist of flute-playing, co-president of the jury

Dagmar Zsapka, artist of flute-playing (Bratislava-Slovakia)

prof. Iván Madarász, composer

Aims of the competition: the popularisation of the chamber music of flute-duos, -trios, -quartets without

              accompaniment and - in addition to the wellknown repertoire - the performance

              of works of contemporary authors.

Prizes:     The jury awards excellent niveau prizes, niveau prizes and honourable mentions, decides about the

              great prize of the competition, which is 125.000 HUF. Competitors interpreting the works of

              contemporary composers in a high level, and teachers preparing children successfully will get an

              extra prize. All participants will get a certificate.

In the program two works or parts of two different periods have to be performed. Maximum program duration: 15 minutes. Age limit of participants: 12-19 years. The participation fee is 80 euro per person, which includes accommodation and full-board. The journey is paid by the participants.

Dead-line of application: 12^th March 2004.

Applicants will be informed about the acception of their application until 12^th  March 2004.
